The wrestling world is mourning the he loss of one of their own today. as therugged, tough mean,nasty ornery cowboy "outlaw" Ron Bass passed away yesterday at the age of 68.
it is being said that unknown to him his appendix had ruptured and therefore he didn't get treatment right away, at this point they are saying cause of death is complications from surgery.
he started his career in 1975 in the south in areas like florida and the NWA.
he then appeared in the wwf in the late 80's and was never without his ever present bullwhip "miss betsy"(and from what I have heard he could crack that thing pretty darn loud) and his spurs-- neither of which he was afraid to use on his opponents to help himself get a win.
he retired in 1991 due to an accumulation of injuries over the years.
he seemed happy in retirement finding religion, getting his bachelor's degree, golfing and selling construction equipment and being quite good at it. and spending time with his son.
he is survived by his son.
